Denny’s is seeking franchise partners who understand the restaurant business.  Our recruiting process is designed to help you understand the Denny’s opportunity and identify ideal markets where you can grow with the Denny’s brand.  The process takes approximately 120 days.  We work closely with you to help you successfully complete the process.

INITIAL INQUIRY & PHONE INTERVIEW
After you first inquire about the Denny’s franchise opportunity, we provide you with important information about our development plans and do an initial screening to make sure you meet our basic qualification requirements (see requirements).

APPLICATION & DISCLOSURE PROCESS
Our Franchise Application (available here) is designed to give us critical information about you, your business lines and business partners to help ensure that you have the financial and operational ability to grow with Denny’s. We also run a background investigation, conduct a credit check and verify your assets.  We provide you with detailed information about the Denny’s franchise opportunity via our FTC-regulated Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). 

INTERVIEW
We meet with you and your partners to provide you with a detailed, personalized look at the Denny’s franchise opportunity.  The interview also gives us a more nuanced insight into your goals and approach.

RESTAURANT OBSERVATION
Your observation of a Denny’s training restaurant immerses you in the practical, day-to-day aspects of running a Denny’s franchise, which is helpful in finalizing your business plan.

BUSINESS PLAN
Your business plan provides a detailed outline of your vision for operating your Denny’s franchise, including development, operations, marketing, finances, etc. 

DISCOVERY DAY & ORIENTATION
You meet with the Denny’s Senior Executive team and support team to answer any final questions and receive your final approval.  Welcome to the Denny’s system!
